Linda Jackson is without a doubt a national treasure here in Australia.  The talented artist has achieved so much in her lifetime, yet she continues to outdo herself (it’s been over 40 years since she first opened a boutique in the Strand Arcade with fellow creative Jenny Kee).

Lately the artist has taken to designing prints for my favourite Australian label Romance Was Born. I’ve fallen head over heels for this romantic heart print (this scribbly design is pretty up there too).  And I’ve decided this dress is one of those pieces I’ll never part with.

It’s not often I find such a classic silhouette; long sleeves and a high neck, with a hem that hits my knees.  Most Australian designers veer more towards body-con with cut-outs.  So you’ll see a lot more of this dress as I finish the rounds of summer launches and designer dinners; it’ll most definitely be coming along to NZ next week too…
