Karen Walker / Romance Was Born / Deadly Ponies
My first show in Milan was Gucci and boy was it an amazing/crazy experience.
First off the location was a massive warehouse north of the city. Outside the show space was an extensive driveway with hundreds of photographers* (plus a bunch of Police) running all over the place. Considering I had just touched down it was a bit of a shock to the system…
Once my ID and invite was checked with security I was able to enter the insanely beautiful space.
Every surface was pink. All the walls covered in pink mirrored squares, pink starry carpets and pretty quilted seats.
Needless to stay the show was absolutely breathtaking and I was lucky enough to visit Gucci’s head office to see it all up close a few days later.

* BTW I find it amazing that photographers on the street can capture such a composed shot (with no one in the background) despite the hectic conditions.
