My Top Winter Beauty Picks

It’s so important to swap your beauty routine as the seasons change.  Lighter formulas may suffice during summer but as the mercury drops it is so important to incorporate nourishing oils and rich creams into your beauty repertoire.

Myself? I swear by these winter beauty buys…

CHLOE C HILL BEAUTY | Dermagolica spf primer and skin boosterDermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster:  The combination of hot air-conditioning and cool wind plays havoc on my skin from April onwards.  I rely on this booster for just enough extra hydration, applied right before my usual moisturiser.  Also worth noting is its ability to completely sort out post-flu dryness around the nose.

Dermalogica Skinperfect Primer with SPF 30:  I’m a serial SPF wearer all year round, so a primer that has sun protection is my favourite way to protect my skin in winter.  Plus of all the primers I’ve tried this one is my favourite for it’s smooth silicone formula, it literally glides on.

CHLOECHILL BEAUTY | Kerastase Resistance hair care
Kérastase Soin Premier Thérapiste, Bain Thérapiste and Sérum Thérapiste (launching August):  My entire life I believed hair should first be shampooed, then conditioned… So Kérastase’s new haircare collection has pretty much blown my mind!  The theory is that conditioning first binds the hair fibre, protecting it during the shampoo process.
Yip, I was sceptical too.  But after using it for the past month I’ve been totally won over.  Finished with the silky serum my hair has been feeling super-smooth and nourished.

CHLOE C HILL BEAUTY | Aromatherapy company foot care cream and exfoliantThe Aromatherapy Co. Feet Enriched Balm and Feet Pumice Scrub: Smooth skin should start from the feet up so I use liberal amounts of The Aromatherapy Co.’s feet balm and scrub – especially after a long day on my feet shooting or running around on appointments.

CHLOE CHILL BEAUTY | Repetto Eau de ParfumRepetto Eau De Parfum:  I like to swap up my scents each season.  My latest favourite is Repetto’s sultry Eau De Parfum which is packed with delicious wintery notes like amber and plum.

CHLOE CHILL BEAUTY | Winter beauty buys featuring thursday plantation lavender oil and sodashi Calming Concentrate
Thursday Plantation Lavender Oil:  I swear by lavender oil, it’s part of my nightly routine.  Dabbed on my temples and the inside of my wrists it’s the best way to relax your mind and body before bed.

Sodashi Calming Concentrate: A few drops added to warm water and patted over my face smoothes stressed skin- I walk almost everywhere so this especially handy after long periods of time outdoors in the wind.
