STEP 1: Start with a strappy shoe.  A slingback style with straps that go straight across the foot is best. STEP 2: For the most fluffy final result I recommend using fine marabou feathers.  There are so many different options available on Etsy! You’ll need a thin boa style, not loose feathers.

STEP 3: Cut the feather boa to fit across the shoe (you can double it over for a thicker effect).  Using a needle and thread in a hue that matches your feathers, carefully fasten the boa to the straps by winding the thread around from one side to the other.  Knot a few times at either end to ensure the feathers are secure.  Trim any stray thread and gently loosen any feathers that have been caught in the thread.  STEP 4: Easy as 1, 2, 3!  Your fluffy shoes are complete.  The best thing is when you are completely over fluffy footwear you can revert back to plain heels by unthreading the feathers to easily remove.  For another easy DIY click here.
